PBIS at KNAPP ELEMENTARY 
PBIS = Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports
Purpose of PBIS: to support a school community in which everyone demonstrates positive behavior and experiences learning success.
Together staff, students, families, and community members will teach, practice, model, and recognize our three school-wide expectations- also called ‘Cardinal Pride’.
Other words and phrases you might hear your child using:
-Reteaches: Students are retaught expectations throughout the year
-Majors: How more severe behaviors are described and treated
*Majors = use of Office Discipline Referral form
-All School Celebrations: Setting school-wide behavior goals and celebrating when we meet them!
*Our goal is to teach our students behavior expectations that will allow them to be successful at school, home and in the community.
